PokerStars just released their Android poker app to the Spanish market this weekend. The PokerStars iOS app wasn’t released yet, but it’s expected to be released to the Spanish market shortly. Apple has a strict approval process and that’s why it’s taking longer to launch the iOS poker app in the Spanish market. Players in Spain can now download the app from the PokerStars site.
The PokerStars Android app is one of the best in the market. The app features cash games, tournaments and Zoom poker plus players will be able to multi-table using the app. PokerStars launched their Spanish poker room about a month ago now and it has been reported that PokerStars already has about 60% of the market share in Spain.
PokerStars Mobile is now available in Spain, Italy, France, UK and several European countries. It’s expected that the mobile app will continue to be launched in other countries later this year. Mobile poker is becoming a lot larger and PokerStars is leading the market with their Android and iOS poker apps. PokerStars only released their app in Jan 2012, but it’s already really popular.
There was no announcement on what countries will be the next to receive access to the PokerStars Mobile apps, but there is still an ongoing releases taking place this year. The problems with releasing the apps in some countries is that the laws aren’t 100% clear and PokerStars wants to make sure they have everything in place on that front before releasing the app it seems.
Is Your PokerStars App Not Working?
Earlier this weekend there was a problem with the Apple iTunes Store that caused about 100 apps to break. PokerStars Mobile iOS app was one of the apps that was affected by the issue, but the problem has been fixed this weekend. If your downloaded app isn’t working for PokerStars you simply need to uninstall the app and reinstall the app from the App Store.
PokerStars had released an update for their iOS app on July 4th, so the majority of players will need to reinstall the app before playing again. Earlier in the weekend the PokerStars iOS app was also removed from the Apple iTunes Store, but it has since been added to the iTunes Store, so players will be able to download the app through iTunes again.
