As reported by PokerSites.us & 4Flush.com, PokerEagles.com can independently confirm that PokerView has closed. PokerView was a part of the US facing Merge Gaming Network
They are just another addition to the list of Merge Gaming skins that have closed up shop and moved their player base to another Merge Gaming skin. They join the dead-pool with the likes of Hero Poker, RPM Poker, Overbet & Iron Duke.
PokerView was launched in early 2011 with great fanfare with the hopes of making web cam poker a mainstay within the poker world. They launched on the Everleaf software but the low player base forced them to abandon web cam poker and move to the US facing Merge Gaming Network.
When players logged into their PokerView account today they were met with the following message:
Valued PokerView Player,
PokerView has been purchased by a third party. Your funds are safe and you will be playing poker shortly. Please choose a Merge preferred partner and follow the steps outlined.”
Players who follow the link to view preferred partners will have the option of creating a new account on either Sportsbook.com, PlayersOnly or Carbon Poker and they will then need to submit a transfer of their PokerView funds to their new account.
If a player already has an account on those 3 sites and they wish to move funds they will need to submit a request at [email protected].
