Intertops is one of the most well respected names in online gambling and they are one of the largest skins on the Revolution Network after Lock Poker.
When they make an announcement the industry always takes notice and this change is rather alarming with regards to the Revolution Network and the networks prospects going forward.
Intertops recently announced they will be segregating all of their MTT’s & Midstakes Cash Games from the Revolution Network to help insulate their valuable player base.
One of the big problems facing skins on the Revolution Network is the insanely long wait time to cash out as such skins such as Lock Poker & Juicy Stakes are having players wait over 6 months for a check.
Cake Poker which is a well known European facing Revolution Network skin has just as long wait times as Lock & Juicy Stakes.
Intertops on the other hand operates their own in-house cashier system so they are actually able to process payments to players in the USA in under a week in most cases.
The writing has been on the wall for some time that the Revolution Network is in some serious financial trouble.
A representative from InterTops posted on the TwoPlusTwo forum the following about segregating of tables.
We want to keep our reputation and continue providing our customers with the service and support that they deserve. Furthermore, we want to be able to continue to guarantee our players their funds and remain one of the most trusted and safe places to play. In order to achieve the above we have been forced, due to circumstances beyond our control, to make some changes to our segregation.
One of the main drivers behind this change is the fact that Intertops has not been paid the so called “reconciliation payments” from the Revolution Network for several months.
Obviously a business can only go so long without being paid.
This all could be a precursor to Lock Poker & Revolution Network all going under or at the very least seeing Intertops leave the Revolution Network for another network such as Merge or the Winning Poker Network.
