Governor Chris Christie recently vetoed the online gambling legislation in New Jersey. The veto that he issued was a conditional one which means he has sent to the legislator changes that he wants made. If the legislator makes the changes he will then sign the bill into law. Recent reports have indicated that there will be no veto override vote taken instead the legislator will work on the changes requested by the Governor. He also wants to put this issue on a referendum and have the residents of New Jersey decide if they indeed want regulated online gambling in the state.
