As reported by CasinoChoice.co.uk, PokerEagles.com can now confirm that the Microgaming Network has re-branded the network to MPN. As part of the re-branding process Microgaming has launched a brand new redesigned website which can be found at thempn.eu. The process has taken a total of two years and was started when the entire poker platform went through a thorough redesign to better align the software with the needs of players and operators in early 2010.
MPN is based in the Isle of Man and has been a provider of online gaming technology since 2003. They are one of the first poker networks to launch and this is the first major re-brand that has taken place since the 2003 launch of the Microgaming Poker Network.
As part of the redesign MPN focused on providing a better overall experience for players. As part of that process MPN has released a flash & HTML5 client for in browser play. They also released a fast fold type of game called Blaze Poker as well as anonymous poker tables. They also created a new rake allocation system called True Value which is designed to reward operators who bring in recreational type of players to the poker network. MPN also revamped the rake based promotions to better align with the industry and to create a level playing field among the operators.
As other poker networks are shutting down such as IGT is set to do, MPN has seen a huge influx of skins which is a direct result of the revamped software. MPN currently has the following operators : 24hPoker, 32Red, BetVictor, Betsafe, Betsson, Betway, Cool Hand, Copacabana, Dhoze, Gnuf, GunnersGaming, JBET, JenningsBet, Ladbrokes, Mansion88, NordicBet, PokerTime, Stan James, TOBET, Triobet, Unibet, iGame & win2day.be.
As we continue to see consolidation within the poker industry, look for MPN to gain a stronger footing within the online poker industry as we will probably see more operators join MPN in the future. MPN is currently the 11th largest network in the world according to PokerScout.com with a 24 hour peak of cash players at 2535.
