Carbon Poker’s “CarbonRyan” recently announced that Carbon is set to launch a new mobile client in the near future. Players on the 2+2 Forums will have a chance to beta test the new client if they want to before it gets launched to the public at a later date.
If you want to test the software you can email [email protected] with your username and nickname. In the next two weeks or so Carbon Poker will notify players who have opted in to the beta test program using the email above.
When the app launches poker players will only be able to play poker games with play money. Carbon Poker has already stated that real money play will be coming to the mobile client in the near future and real money play isn’t restricted in the USA.
The app only features Holdem ring table games at the moment, but that’s set to change. It won’t be long before tournaments can be played on the app. Other poker games will also become available on the app once it’s launched to the public.
One of the current downsides of the Carbon Poker app is that it’s only compatible with the iPhone and iPod Touch. If you want to be an early tester of the app you need to have an iPhone or iPod Touch only currently.
Carbon Poker has stated that the iPad and Android apps aren’t far behind, but they’re not ready yet. Having a real money poker app at Carbon Poker is great news for players in the USA and we’ll make sure we keep you updated on when the app launches publicly.
Bally Technologies & Amaya Gaming Sign Partnership
In other news, yesterday it was announced that Bally Technologies and Amaya Gaming signed a new partnership. The plan is that the OnGame Network and Amaya Gaming casino games will be integrated into the iGaming platform in the USA.
The OnGame Network will be the preferred software provider in the USA now that they’ve partnered with Bally’s. This new deal is big news for Amaya Gaming who now has a foothold into the US market with one of the biggest gaming companies.
The new partnership is only based on upcoming business in the emerging US market once it’s regulated. OnGame already has a lot of experience in regulated poker markets and have provided online poker games to over 25 million players around the world.
Land-based casinos in the USA will now be able to use the world class OnGame software suite to power their poker room. With the software capabilities and reach that Amaya Gaming has in the online poker market this is good news for US land-based casinos.
