The 1-year anniversary of Black Friday is fast approaching and the Winning Poker Network has announced that they’ll be hosting a series of poker tournament to celebrate freedom of online poker players. The Winning Poker Network (Yatahay) is one of the few US-friendly poker networks still in business after Black Friday.
Americans have been weary about where they can play online poker for real money and the Winning Poker Network has done the best job possible to ensure US poker players have an online poker room to play with. Winning Poker Network $250K Liberty Weekend Main Event
On the anniversary of Black Friday (April 15th) the Winning Poker Network is going to host a $250K GTD Event. The tournament will have a $215 buy-in (10,000 Starting Chips) and the winner will win a minimum of $50K. The network stated that this event is going to be the biggest online poker tournament in 2012 for US poker players.
Once the major poker rooms were forced out of the US market (PokerStars & Full Tilt) MTT players suffered a lot. There were no longer any big MTT’s that players could play in and even S&G’s weren’t being played nearly as much.
True Poker and Americas Cardroom are going to host a massive super satellite on April 13th 2012 that will reward the top 250 players with a seat in the $250K GTD. The buy-in to the super satellite is only $39 although you can also qualify for the satellite by playing in any of the daily qualifiers. The buy-ins for the daily satellites includes 35 Player Points, $1.10 and $7.70.
Winning Poker Network Liberty Weekends in April
Not only is the Winning Poker Network hosting a $250K GTD Event, but there will be other special events hosted on the network in the month of April. Every Saturday and Sunday in April will have a special event with a decent guaranteed prize pool.
On Saturdays you can play in a $10K GTD Event with a buy-in of $55 and on Sundays in April you can play in a $50K GTD Event with a buy-in of $215.
