The EPT Grand Final is running right now and the €100,000 Super High Roller is now over. Justin Bonomo ended up winning the tournament and added to his career winnings total, which has now eclipsed the $5M milestone. The tournament had a special format that allowed players to buy-in multiple times if they wish. Justin Bonomo was one of the seven players to re-buy into the event although he was the only player to cash that re-bought chips in the EPT Grand Final Super High Roller.
Justin Bonomo dominated the tournament and there was little doubt that he was going to win. Coming into the final day of the tourney Justin had roughly 40% of the chips in play. Bonomo didn’t try to coast into the top 2 either, as he went to work as soon as the final table started. Bonomo won €1,640,000 and his total buy-in was €200,000, so he did really well. Bonomo claimed his 2nd major live poker win and his live tournament winnings have now gone over $5M.
Tobias Reinkemeier finished the Super High Roller tournament in 2nd place and won €1,064,000. Several familiar names also did well in the tournament and made it to the final table. Bertrand Grospellier finished in 3rd place (€621,000), Patrik Antonius ended up finishing in 4th place (€443,000), Masa Kagawa finished in 5th place (€354,500) and Daniel Negreanu finished the tournament in 6th place (€310,000). With such a high buy-in only the best poker players participated in the Super High Roller tourney.
