PKR Poker has just announced the closure of PKR.fr which will take place on July 22, 2015. It is not at all surprising considering the high cost of doing business in France and the fact that the player pool is segregated which in turn makes it extremely difficult for multiple operators to compete.

Unfortunately the French poker market is no longer viable for PKR so we have taken the difficult decision to close www.pkr.fr to focus on the rapid growth of www.pkr.com planned for the remainder of 2015 and beyond.
Closure of our French poker room will take place on 22 July, however we will no longer be accepting new players from 22 June. Although the French poker market has been challenging, we are confident in our aggressive growth targets for 2015/16 for our primary poker room www.pkr.com and we look forward to working with you to become one of the most successful poker rooms.
