William Hill has announced they are leaving the Estonia & Portugal markets effective June 28, 2015. This comes off the news of PKR announcing that they are leaving the French market.
William Hill affiliates were notified about the news via an email sent earlier today which is below:
Dear Partner,
We would like to inform you that following recent regulatory developments in Estonia and Portugal, with effect from June 28th 2015, William Hill will cease to accept business from customers in Estonia and Portugal.
This means that none of William Hill’s products will be available in Estonia and Portugal, though players will be able to withdraw from their existing account balances. Furthermore, affiliates are required to remove all marketing materials from their websites (including banners, text links, etc.) that relate to Estonian and Portuguese bettors.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank you for all your efforts and our joint work together over the past years in the Estonian and Portuguese markets. We value your cooperation and contribution and, though William Hill is obliged to cease to accept business from customers in Estonia and Portugal for the time being, we are confident that we will have the opportunity to work together in the future.
